A Whole New Look

Image
How do you like it? Email me with suggestions or if you want a copy of my table of contents. (Read above). WRITING UPDATE: This week I need to brush up on the book proposal. I also intend to enter a contest for a scholarship to a writers conference. Doesn't sound like much, but the week is loaded with annual doctor appointments and junk like that. It's a real let down from the past couple days I got to spend with Brad, Brooke and old friends in Novelty. (Hi everybody!) So back to being a responsible adult. (I'm sure I'll get over it). This is a picture of Brad trying to tell me how to take a picture. His face says it all--I need help. Check back next week.

World's Largest Dust Bunny

That title was the winner of last week's poll. Thanks to all who voted and left comments. Click on the comments from last week if you want a chuckle--my sis-in-law, Tammy, and my friend, Fish, left some titles that made me laugh. Now for the formal introduction: Here's me and D. Bunny. Here real name is Trixie Attisano. She moved in with us in October when the Attisano's--Craig, Mimzie, Logan and baby Nathan moved to El Paso, TX because Craig was needed in the Army Reserve. They will only be there for 10 months. Trixie is 14 years old, which must be around 100 in cat years. I couldn't imagine how such an elderly cat would adjust to El Paso. I offered to keep Trixie and hardly got the words out of my mouth before Mimzie agreed and brought her and all her trappings over! Trixie's favorite place is here in the kitchen beside her empty food dish, waiting for a refill. She likes to keep everything on schedule--meaning any time I'm in the kitchen so is she. We sta...

True Confession & Mystery Photo

I confess, this was fun. I drove 250 miles in the rain to do this--to clean out kitchen cabinets and get them organized. Go ahead, say it, I'm pathetic. If only I had a "before" picture so you could see what an intellectual challenge and stimulus this was! But the governing authority (Brooke) wouldn't give me a permit. Something to do with mysterious disappearance of my nifty new camera (see last week's post) and rearranging my face if I did. So I'll let your imaginations work their magic for a before picture. (Hey wait, no need to call HGTV show "Clean House"--it wasn't that bad. What you see us proudly displaying is the after shot. Isn't it beautiful???? Didn't we do great???? Do I hear the word "pathetic" again? Well, like I promised last week, I finally figured out what a USB cable looked like, waited for daylight, found the hole it went into, filed pictures off my wonderful new camera from my wonderful family, and uplo...

This is the picture Ferree took

(WARNING: The surgeon general has determined that the following may cause confusion. It's best not to try to understand. Simply read it as fast as you can to enter into the mental haze with which the writer produced it). This is the picture Ferree took. And this is the coolest camera in the whole world which the most wonderful kids and husband in the whole world got her for Christmas. And this is the cable (maybe) to hook the camera to the computer to file the picture to save the picture to browse the picture to insert the picture to blog the picture. And this is the hole (maybe) to stick the cable in to file the picture to save the picture to browse the picture to insert the picture to blog the picture taken by the coolest camera that the most wonderful family in the world gave her for Christmas. And this is the internet connected back on her computer by her wonderful husband so she could post all the photos she's going to take on her wonderful camera to her wonderful blog. Bu...
