DEPRESSION

Hi Everybody! How do you like the uplifting title for today?
Don't worry, you don't have to read about it here. Our pastor has been doing a series on depression, so I want to give you access to it. If you can't use it, maybe you know someone who would.
Go to www.apexcommunity.net
Click on "gathering."
Click on "listen."
Click on "subscribe to RSS feed." (I'm assuming you don't have an iPod or whatever. If you do, you're beyond me and know what to do with the "iTunesPodCast" option).
Underneath "Downcast, Part 1" click on the sermon title, which is "behindthedarkness." Pastor Rob will start speaking, so make sure the volume is up on your computer.

Subscribing to the RSS Feed is free. If any windows appear with subscription costs, just x out of them. You do not have to pay to hear the sermon. And you don't have to sit there just listening to a sermon. I'm listening to it as I'm writing this blog.

This first sermon lists causes and symptoms of depression and an antidote for it. The following weeks continue with more biblical antidotes taken from real people of the Bible.

Hope you have a good week. Tom and I are going into the middle stretch of our "South Beach Diet" hoping for a middle shrink. I resented being hungry the first couple days, but it finally occurred to me that millions of people in the world feel like that every day, and it's not because they've got too much to eat and have to force themselves to quit. It's humbling.

Keep on praying.

Soooo true. Each Sunday after Kevin and I watch Joel (Osteen) the "Feed the Children" show comes on and I get so depressed watching all the starving children. I did donate for a year and a half and felt good about it. But I didn't appreciate all the mail they sent me! They could feed alot of children with the postage they spend to send me all that mail! I ought to donate again. I, too am forever dieting but especially now more faithfully. I love how I feel after exercising and after eating at the Rocky Rococo's all you can eat salad bar! Vegetables cleanse my insides and I feel so heathy; I'm not sure if all you can eat is a good idea or not, but I'm trusting it is if on the Weight Watcher's diet plan vegetables are 0 points! (I wasn't able to listen to the behind the darkness on these computers.)Love ya! Margo
