I'm Baaack
The month of May started off in Myrtle Beach, SC with an aahhhh . . . and then it went to super busy! I think we needed the time at the beach to get rested up for the days ahead. The photos that follow are all jumbled up. I've spent hours just trying to get them on the blog, but if I try to put them in order for you I may lose them and never get them up. So, we'll just deal with it, OK?
Remember how I was going to take the month of May off from blogging so I could really concentrate on writing the book?
Ha! I did write one chapter. Well, part of a chapter . . .
I think maybe God knew I needed the month off because of all the other stuff I'd get to do!

Tom and I trained for disaster relief with our church, and within days we headed to IL to help flood victims. Here are the women of the team headed to you-know-where: the bathroom! It was a bit of a trek to the flush toilet, but we were glad we weren't really roughing it. Plus, who wouldn't want to go 4-wheelin'?
The next set of pics show Tom and I at work. Basically we went into a house and uncovered the wall studs. The floors were also usually removed, too, but we weren't around for that as we had to be back to work.

Here's our Ohio team and the van and Mud-Out trailer full of tools.

We were able to get together with Bill and Pauline before he took off.
This cat wanted to come home with us one night when we were checking on the sailboat at the storage place. It jumped right in the Explorer. He was very friendly and very hungry! And a very cool cat! Brad said he must have been raised by puppies.
We found the owner, but if he wants to jump in our truck again, we just might let him, even tho Elmer and Fud despised him. And of course we'd change his name. Who would name this great cat "Toodles?"

This is why were out checking on our boats--because they were on our way home from checking on Caesar Creek resevoir. It was very high! We took this picture from a park deck that overlooks the water, a good fifteen feet above ground. The tree is usually pretty tall, and on dry ground! Boating season will be late this year. :(

And here's Bill and Pauline. His 84th birthday will be in August and we're invited!
Well, I'm pretty sure this will be a graphic disaster to post, but I'll try anyway. Thanks for checking in on me, and I'll try to get back to the Monday routine now.
