Is It Summer Yet?

No! Summer's almost over and I've missed it, totally missed it! I'm still waiting for it to start! Stop the world, I haven't had summer yet!

We look a little tipsy!

Bike path
Oh, tell me to quit whining. I've been to IL, WI and PA. I got to see some family. We took the jetski out--once. And on Sunday--the only day this summer when it's not been either raining or over 90 degrees with 90% humidity, or we've been working--we had a perfect day--no cooking, church, brunch, 15 mile bike ride, sirloin steak . . . aaah . . .

I made these beautiful blueberry muffins last night. They look better than the Contessa's. (I'm sure they taste even better, I love the struesel topping. They go in the freezer for now so Mom and Dad Hardy can help us eat them the end of the month). The Contessa's were nearly burnt. Imagine putting a picture of nearly burnt muffins in an otherwise great cookbook!

Did I tell you I had a great time at Montrose? Now it's upward and onward with getting the manuscript ready for two agents! Meanwhile, I have a Facebook group of widows which more and more are being added each week as I meet more and more of these amazing women.
I'll be starting a GriefShare group in September and leading that every Sunday night. The WCP blog is steadily growing--over 200 unique visitors every week. Last week I heard from a woman in Mongolia??? It's mind boggling! Oh! and my story is now on a website called Widow Connection!
Plus, Marcia Smart (I love her!) tipped me off about a writing opportunity, and I've been invited to write an article for it.
So, no wonder I'm not posting here weekly. sigh. But, other than writing I really don't have much to write about myself.
The End
I do like keeping up with everyone, though. Drop me a line and let me know how your summer is going (OR gone!)
This last picture is what I usually see of Tom now that he went and bought a little Triumph Spitfire to tinker with.
Thanks for checking in on me!

Wow! You are such an amazingly busy lady! How blessed your Griefshare group are going to be! I attended a group in Bel Air Md, about two years ago, after my precious husband died. It was an important part of my healing journey! Your writing and sense of humor blesses me! Loved your "The End" photo too!

long time in coming but time does go on. I keep checking to find out
what you're up to...... guess I'll
have to resort to the phone.
