WRITING AWAY
Well, not really, but I'm getting there. Time has been a problem lately. And energy. The no caffeine, no sugar, no carbs phase of our diet had Tom and I dragging. We're feeling much better now, though, and also feeling slightly lighter. We're also walking almost every day. Tom has me doing 3 miles, and he does 4 or 5.
Yesterday I went to an author book signing at Barnes & Noble. I found out some people in my church had a book out, so I wanted to meet them. It's always a risky thing--introducing yourself to strangers--but my feet got me in the store, and then they walked me right up to the display and that was that. I meet a delightful, encouraging couple, Bryant and Cindy Heflin. Turns out they have a connection to the writers group I've attended a couple times, too.
Here is their website for your perusal: www.ProclaimHisGlory.org
Here is the website of the author I heard speak last month at the writers group: www.WayneHolmes.com
These are for my reference as much as for your curiosity--the hard drive on my computer is making a strange noise and I'm squirrelling stuff away to other storage places before it crashes.
But I think you will enjoy taking a look at these websites. You may even want to order their books! I'm thankful to begin connecting with these local authors. Networking is just as important as gluing myself to the computer to actually write! So I feel these people and the writers group are an answer to prayer.
Have a blessed week, and prepare your heart to celebrate "Resurrection Sunday!"

Hello to all! Kathy
If you're looking for a book to read, I found a gem at the library last week called "9 Secrets from Women Who Get Everything they Want" by Kate White. It's a real class lady and fun reading. The best part is I can find just a little time every other day. (that way I will retain better)Don't worry if you don't want to read it, you won't hurt my feelings, but I thought it was really interesting!!! Margo
And "thank you" to my cousin, Margo, for the diet advice and book title. I'm looking forward to taking a look at that book next time I'm putting in some hours at the library. The testimonies she mentioned in Heflin's book really are wonderful and glorify the Lord.
God loves to surprise ordinary people with his extraordinary ways!
