They're Coming To Take Me Away!

Behind the trim lawn and pretty trees is the paper mill Tom
began working at in April. Did I mention its in South
Carolina? Kind of a looong drive to work from Ohio. !
April and May were a whirlwind of major decisions we weren't ready for, and a lot of saying good-bye. I wrote about these pictures in June, but just found them today! So here's the start of my southern living in pictures.

Many things have happened this year and I hope to begin catching up on them! One major event was the publication of my book---which was the "handle with prayer" reason for this blog when I started it in 2006. I'm so happy to have it delivered---yes, delivered-- it's almost like having a baby. Click here to order the book or just see what it looks like: Postcards from the Widows' Path

People are saying the nicest things about it and I'm so thrilled that they love it!

Now that the book is done, I intend to change the title and look of this blog. Life is still fragile and needs to be handled with prayer (the previous title of this blog). But now this will become my place to log in about the Up North girl living Down South, right near the cotton fields and Alligator Road. Will I ever adjust or fit in? Will I ever start saying "Y'all" or "Bless your heart?" Come back to find out!

So . . .we found a house in SC.
It's much prettier now that leaves are on the trees. We will
enjoy the wooded acreage we own, too

Tom also interviewed in Tennessee near this nice park,
but I'm glad we ended up in SC.

So glad to see this - looking forward to hearing about your adjustment to this new "territory" I have no doubt God will bless it and enlarge it!
We are so fortunate to be here, and for Tom to have a job. I've always loved moving to a new house or new area, but this time it's really thrown me off balance. God obviously wants us here and has truly blessed us but it's very different this time. thanks for your encouragement though, i really appreciate it. :)
