Fun Game!

My mom saves everything and when I was up there I found a precious piece of paper. It was precious because it was hand-written by Bruce! What a delightful find! But, no, it wasn't an old love letter or message from the "beyond." It was directions to a game we loved playing called "Dictionary."

Since then, it's been packaged for sale as "Balderdash." I've heard it's basically the same, so why pay money for something you can make up on your own? All you need is a dictionary, 4 or more players, (The more good liars the merrier!) and pencils and paper.

Rather than me try to explain it all, just go to either of these sites for directions:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictionary  OR  http://library.thinkquest.org/J001156/games/sl_dictionary.htm
One benefit of the game is that you find out who is the best liar in your house. I confess, I was pretty good. But I do try to limit my skills to the confines of the game. :)
You'll also have a ton of fun!

WRITING UPDATE: Writing day is tomorrow. I plan to register for a writers conference at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI in April. Then I have to submit my book proposal online and hope an editor will be interested in an appointment with me. I learned a phrase in church yesterday that I'll be incorporating into my life and speech: Deo Volente--Lord Willing! So, D.V. this will be a good learning experience! Also, last week I started the widows blog. I'm not sure of the total number of visitors (I didn't add Google Analytics until later in the week), but widows from WI, NY and KY contacted me, as did a number of other interesting people. Thanks, too, for voting in my name poll. Results: y'all thought my name was good as is because it's recognizable and memorable. If I submit any poetry or other writings, tho, I think I'll go with F.B. Hardy to be a little more ungendered. Thanks for your prayers and your input. Have a great week.
