Summertime . . .
It's August already! Summer is going way too fast, or maybe Tom and I are working way too hard! I've been swamped with record-breaking reading programs at the library. You can read about them on the July 7 library blog post that I wrote: http://wcpl-insidestory.blogspot.com/.
And Tom's work is always full of excitement. This wall decided to fall apart last week. They had it back up in only 26 frantic hours. Needless to say, Tom pulled an around-the-clock shift that day.
This next picture summarizes my summertime fun this year: Foul. Oops, I mean fowl. Me and the chickens at the Greene County fair yesterday shared some quality time. It was a cute little fair. My favorite sights were the 4-H sheep barn, the bunnies, and the vegetables.

WRITING UPDATE: This week I'll be writing on both Thursday and Friday. A writing friend I met two years ago at the Montrose Writers Conference will be visiting, and we're going to have our own little writer's conference! Sarah and her friend I-haven't-met-yet, Pat, will come over on both days. We'll critique each others stuff, do rewrites, critique some more, cry, pray, and write, write, write! (Also eat. Pat's bringing dessert . . .mmmm)
Thanks for checking in on me!
